Where do these data come from?

This simulator reuses data from the Base Carbone. It is a public database of emission factors needed for a greenhouse-gas (GHG) assessment and, more broadly, for any carbon-accounting exercise.

What is or isn’t included in our estimate?

Direct emissions and the production and distribution of fuel and electricity are included. The construction of vehicles (cars, bikes, batteries, trains, planes, etc.) and infrastructure (roads, rails, airports, etc.) is not included.
