Method
- Source: the quotes sent through Alfred Meeting by establishments located in France for events whose first day falls in 2025.
- Unit: the quote amount excluding VAT divided by the number of participants in the request and by its length in days; residential also per stay, an evening per participant.
- Quotes proposed: every priced offer sent to clients; quotes retained: those the client chose. An offer counts once per venue and request, in its latest version.
- Exclusions: groups of fewer than 5 participants, amounts outside €10 to €1,500 per participant per day excluding VAT, one-day residential seminars.
- Reading: median price and range from the first to the third quartile; no cell reflects a single venue or a single client, and none is named. These figures describe the requests handled by Alfred Meeting, not the whole market.
- Lead time: days between the request and the first day of the event, once per request. Certified venue: CSR certification or Green Key shown on its Alfred Meeting page.

Frequently asked questions
What is the Alfred Meeting seminar price barometer?
A yearly summary of the prices venues actually quoted to companies for their seminars and evenings, based on the quotes received through Alfred Meeting. Each edition covers the events of the previous year.
How does it differ from the “How much does a seminar cost” page?
That page starts from the rates venues publish on their page. The barometer starts from the quotes sent for real requests, with their dates, headcount and services: it shows what projects cost once priced.
Why separate quotes proposed and quotes retained?
Quotes proposed show what venues offer for each request. Quotes retained show the offers clients chose: their gap with the median shows whether companies decide mostly on price or on other criteria.
Why a median price rather than an average?
A few very high quotes, for a privatised château or a large event, are enough to pull an average up. The median, with the range from the first to the third quartile, better describes what a typical company pays.
What do the prices include?
The quote amount excluding VAT: room, breaks and meals for a study day, plus dinner, the night and breakfast for a residential seminar, and the options the client asked for.
How do I get quotes for my seminar?
Describe your project: dates, number of participants, region and format. A project manager selects suitable venues, checks their availability, negotiates and sends you their quotes, free of charge and with no commitment.
