Château Astros
General Description
Château d'Astros, a 680-hectare estate, full of poetry and history. An estate where Art and Nature respond to each other. Centuries-old stones, an immutable nature. A place that fascinates as much by its majesty as by its simplicity. A place that has no age and will be of all time. A place full of life, proud of its history and seizing the day. Château d'Astros has served as a filming location for several films and short films, including Yves Robert's famous Château de ma Mère in 1990. At the end of the avenue of plane trees, the imposing bronze lions still watch over the property and seem to await the return of Joseph, Augustine and the children. Château de ma Mère is the magic of a Provençal tale. A cinematic Proust madeleine that crosses generations with the same beauty. Astros and Pagnol, two treasures of Provence that share the same imagination: the poetry of Nature, the happy days of childhood, the sweetness of life in the South and family vacations. Witnesses of different eras and highlights of the estate, numerous historical monuments mark the Astros property.
In Provence, in the heart of the Var region, 600 ha of preserved nature, 80 ha of vineyards and 10 ha of apple trees. On one side, organic wines in AOP Côtes-de-Provence and IGP Var; on the other, a historical heritage that expresses the History of Provence. Everywhere, the expression of nature.
