General Description
This old mill dating from the 17th century housed the Strasbourg ice factories where blocks of ice were produced for traders, brewers and individuals throughout the region. In 1989, Mr. Scharf, the current owner, acquired the buildings and transformed them. The Hotel opened its doors on May 1, 1992 to offer its guests an exceptional setting combining history and modernity.

La Petite France is the most picturesque district of Strasbourg. Fishermen, millers and tanners used to live and work in this district built on the waterfront. The magnificent half-timbered houses date from the 16th and 17th centuries. Their steep roofs are open to attics where the skins used to dry.
