La Maison Colbert is a private mansion in the heart of Nantes, built in 1857 and completely renovated in 2022 by the dpA agency – Delphine Picot Architecte.
La Maison Colbert is located in the heart of downtown Nantes, in the Graslin district – an elegant area that evokes both the romanticism of the 19th century and the luxury of the 21st. Come and discover its beautiful Graslin theater, its classic buildings and squares, its terraces, its shopping streets and elegant passages, as well as its La Cigale brasserie dating from 1895.
This neighborhood is the perfect destination for an afternoon stroll, a shopping trip, and a delicious lunch.
In 1841, the owners Charrier and Devigneaux donated their land to the municipality to allow the opening of a new street: Rue Colbert. Once the sale was completed, the remaining land was divided into 19 plots. Madame Charrier retained a plot located today at 6 Rue Colbert. She would build 2 private mansions there, including Maison Colbert, built in 1857.
