The Grange Somerset
General Description
La Grange, likely dating back to 1686 and expanded in the 18th, 19th, and 21st centuries, embodies the typical elegance of a country house. This property is distinguished by its bright and airy rooms, large sash windows, and high ceilings. Steeped in history, it was the residence of the Wickham family from 1686 to 1897, several of whom served as rector of the parish of Horsington. The family coat of arms adorns the north wall of the house. After leaving the Wickham family, La Grange, nestled in the charming village of Horsington in East Somerset, remained a private residence until its acquisition by its current owner in 2009. A complete renovation has created a home that is both comfortable and refined, and more recently, the kitchen has been enlarged to become the true heart of the home.
