Since 1872, when Georges Blanc's great-grandparents settled in Vonnas as café and lemonade sellers, the neighborhood has changed significantly! From the moment he joined the family business, the passionate chef has worked over the years on a profound transformation of the premises... Deeply committed to environmental improvement and protection, he understood early on the importance of a beautified and protected setting. He creates a sense of dream and magic through the character of the buildings, playing with colors, the proximity of water, floral displays, and meticulously maintained green spaces, as well as the site's lighting, which becomes magical at nightfall. Nearly thirty houses around the original restaurant have been transformed or renovated to realize the concept of the "Gourmet Village," which today spans more than five hectares. A nod to the past: on each of these buildings, a museography, making extensive use of illustrations, tells their story and that of the old trades, now vanished, which once animated local commerce and the life of this neighborhood.
