Moulin de Fourges

In the aftermath of the French Revolution, the Mill, inspired by the Queen's hamlet in Versailles, stands proudly along the banks of the Epte, in the shadow of the neighboring castle, for which it produces flour. After the Second World War, the Defougères family turned it into a charming country inn, with eleven rooms... and only one bathroom. The ideal place to enjoy rustic cuisine and have a good time in complete privacy. In 1993, Jérôme Crépatte acquired it and brought the establishment up to date. Gone are the rooms, make way for gastronomy! Convinced of the attractiveness of the neighboring village of Giverny, the restaurant made welcoming groups its major focus for development. Then in March 2020, at the opening of the season, it was finally closure that was required. A strange virus disrupted our certainties. We suddenly realize that a weekend in the country, an evening with friends, a family outing, are among the "essential" things. Based on this observation, the Moulin decided to begin its transformation. Its ambition: to become a leading destination in terms of conviviality, rurality and authenticity. At the dawn of the 2021 season, the first 9 suites proudly take their place in the mill, which many have known as a restaurant. At the same time, the 300 m2 barn is changing its look and welcoming our new catering offer, which is based around a modern guinguette, a hotel bar with cozy charm and a terrace by the water, for themed catering throughout the seasons. In the spring of 2023, the wellness area by the water completes its transformation and the Family House welcomes its first guests in comfortable suites on the village side. In the future, the mill will become a true estate offering 15 additional rooms, numerous sports and recreational activities, relaxation areas... of culture, of amazement.... Get ready to experience the Eure Normandy!

An artistic hotel, restaurant, and wellness center on the banks of the Epte River, and in close proximity to Giverny, Moulin de Fourges has, since its beginning, been dedicated to promoting pictorial art and authenticity. Hotel: Nine rooms on the water's edge, dedicated to painters: Sophie Morisse, Guy Proust, Pierre Marcel, Valérie Maugeri, Alain Bruneaux, Marc Lemoine, Christian Broutin, Anna Filimonova, and Michèle Ratel. The five rooms and suites in the Family House add their charm and comfort to our offering, on the village side. Restaurant: Valentin Petrov and his team prepare a refined cuisine, full of flavors, to be enjoyed in a warm atmosphere. Spa: Our wellness area is located on the water's edge, on the Moulin side (panoramic sauna and whirlpool). This winter, it will be enhanced with a treatment and massage cabin, Le Perchoir. One of the characteristics of the Moulin is the unique atmosphere of the place: in the heart of nature, the calm and tranquility allow for a true disconnection from the world.
