For over a year now, most companies have been operating via video conference for meetings, training, team building... which greatly puts events aside. With cancellations upon cancellations since last March, MICE sector professionals are worried: will it go back to the way it was? Is this the end of face-to-face events?

The habit of videoconferencing has become established…

No more study days and residential seminars in the mountains, in the green and by the sea, make way for remote learning!
If for most of us the word "remote" seemed unknown more than a year ago, today it is more than topical. Some companies only swear by this method of "gathering" which allows them to maintain a link between employees while taking the necessary precautions.

Even if 100% remote has become a reality today, the digital trend has already been present and anchored in our daily lives for a few years (even if the technology was less advanced). Nowadays everything is easier thanks to the arrival of a multitude of video conferencing tools such as Teams, Zoom, Google Meet and others that are essential to us today.

Also, video conferences are a monumental saving of time and money for companies affected by the crisis. Remote events require much less budget and thus less or no travel at all.

This new way of working is worrying professionals in the MICE sector who find themselves powerless in the face of this situation. Many of them have had no choice but to adapt and offer, in the realm of the possible, their service(s) remotely.

A general weariness
